Photography provides an assertion. Cameras follow us everywhere. With their help an alternative image, another life, fictional and colourful, is being created.

If conscious photographing assumes a participation on the activity, security cameras register everything inside their lenses’ view angles constantly and secretly, archiving the past with equal definition and shutter speed on crowded streets and night parks, silently and carrying it off.

The series was done within the annual Photo plein air festival taking place in Muzeon park. The theme was announced as human’s interaction with the park in a future.

Night photographing of rare park visitors was carried out from the points of security cameras set–ups. Film as a medium was chosen to exclude a possibility of any control and iterations: recorded video from the cams is usually stored on hard drive archives and can’t be changed or adjusted by security staff.

Low light made the shooting possible with long exposure times, blurring human’s figures and resulting in the impossibility of their identification – the second trait of night videos made by generic cams.
