Audiomechanical installations,
interactive and tactile objects,
analog releases

G5-54 is a quasi sound project based on analog electromechanical audio synthesis, named after the widespread Soviet video pulse generator, which was used as synths and effects trigger, controlled by audio signals of the most powerful FM- and TV-stations on the area.

The way it functions can be characterized by strengthening connections between the experience of sound as performative continuance and the impression of image, text and object as stable and constant entities.

Hearing, unlike vision, can’t be distant from the object, and conflicts with the distance that enables objectivity and detachment from the source of sense stimulation.

The majority of G5-54 work presents audio as sound sculptures, formed and supported by tactile objects, unique acoustics of places and analog limited releases.
